Ownership Rights Agreement

Bamboo brought to my attention that I need to post our stance on how ownership of art is handled at Utasia now and in the future.

Artists retain the following rights for their artwork.
1. Artist can display their artwork in a portfolio as long as (c) Utasiaonline is displayed
2. If a refund is given for unwanted artwork, the artist retains all rights to the refunded art
3. If payment is not received for artwork the artist retains all rights for the artwork until payment is received

Utasia retains the following rights regarding artwork
1. When payment is sent for accepted art, Utasia retains all useage rights to the art including the right to resell the artwork if the site has no further use for the art
2. Utasia has the right to request a refund for art that is associated with art theft, tracing or strong referencing
3. Utasia has the useage rights of all character concepts displayed in the art

If I could get everyone's electronic signature for this, it will hold the same weight as your actual signature in acknowledging the agreement. :3

So while the art belongs to Utasia, the artist cannot put it up as their own on an art hosting website on say, deviantart?

The artist can still use the images for art examples, use the images in their portfolio or post on art sites like deviant, they just don't have selling rights. Does that make sense?
